These are intimate objects based on symmetry related to the isolated space I call ‘personal space’. The starting point was to apply some sort of compositional order, same way a series of sounds is used in music. Whereas the shape and the location of all of the elements of the structure were left at random without using any rules of mathematics. The objects are not large so that the viewer can look inside, in between the opposing mirror walls. I have enhanced the usual way mirrors are used to reflect each other by adding rhythms of lines or geometrical surfaces. They have been imprinted with various transparent layers of grey and black, which limited the reflection effect and introduced an additional element in the composition giving shape to the whole space of the graphic. The objects are wedge-shaped, like a letter V mounted inside the wall. White on the outside – unified with the surroundings, and on the inside – composed of reflections of the spaces and rhythms which originate from the print. The character of the drawn elements is raw, deprived of gesture expression, in order to contrast them with the dynamics of the reflected spaces.
